Planting for the Future: Derringer Discoveries Live Stream
Derringer Discoveries is sponsoring a Planting for the Future fundraiser! This fall on October 5th, several artists of the Green Music Program will perform from around the world via livestream to raise money for tree-planting initiatives. Trees are one of the essential tools we have to fight climate change by soaking up carbon dioxide. They provide us with shade to reduce our energy bills in the summer, help filter the air of harmful pollutants, mitigate flooding, and provide habitat for wildlife in a world increasingly dominated by concrete. The organizations this concert will benefit are Little Free Tree and Keep Durham Beautiful (descriptions below). Suggested donation is $10 and greater donations are welcomed.
Register for the event by completing your donation and sharing a picture or screenshot here: https://forms.gle/Hf3vLKNsqfgb3See7
Upon filling out the registration form, you will receive details for how to access the livestream closer to the date of the event (October 5). Contact Paul or Alton with any questions!

Loads of Love Sunday
Come ready to load up the Loads of Love ministry with laundry supplies and in return load up those spuds and fill up your stomach and heart!
What? A special worship service and social event featuring guest musicians and a potato and dip bar following the service!
When? Sunday, February 18 from 11 AM - 1:30 PM
Who? The church welcomes UVA’s New Dominions who will provide music for the service and be the judges of our sweet and savory dip contest following worship. We will be collecting items to benefit the Loads of Love laundry ministry at Belmont Baptist Church!
Where? Right here at PSCC, 1200 Park Street, Charlottesville, VA
Why? While many of us complain about putting away our laundry, we recognize that many do not even have access to this basic need. We designate this special Sunday to recognize the first Sunday of Lent and collect laundry donations for the Loads of Love ministry at Belmont Baptist Church which provides laundry services free of charge to our neighbors in need.
How? Just come to church, bring a sweet or savory dip if you’d like, and we accept all things laundry supply for donations (detergent, baskets, etc)
